stride

every word is a bullet, every poem is a gun
fired from the mouth of pages
into the diffident ears of crowds
all poetry a terroristic act
a call to arms against stale apathies
a protracted war of surrealistic mindbombing
a position of attitudes a unique perspective
a declaration a reckoning a prophecy
to be screamed aloud

poets revolutionaries strident architects of vowels:
paste your manifestos where the they will inflame
the world where their geometry will buttress
the collapsing minds where their independence will liberate
the shackled languages where their audacity will subjugate
the failed doctrines where their courageous coolness will calm
the injured egos where their incredulous reasoning
will penetrate the hidden fortresses of hate

the heroes of tomorrow are now living
crossing borders of the territory their poems stride
through the flames of this moment the raindrop days
infiltrating the barriers of decrepit nations
with books as weapons amassing arsenals of libraries
battering rams of literature that pulverize the prison walls
subaltern speakers of prohibited concepts
brazen perpetrators of wordcrimes thoughtcriminals
disseminators of ideas organizers
theorists of the new
